Money Saving Tip: Save money on gasoline at Walmart Gas Stations (3 cents per gallon)
At the time of this writing gas prices have gone down significantly. We all remember how folks were rushing to get rid of SUVs and buying cars that were better on gas mileage (more Eco-friendly). If you are or were in the south east, you remember circumstances that mimicked the 1970s gas shortage.
Although we have all but forgotten about those times…gas prices are on the rise AGAIN (go figure). We all can use a little extra cash in our pockets though right? How about a few extra dollars in your pocket while NOT exerting any additional effort? I will reveal how you can save money on gas while taking part in normal day to day activities.
How you ask? Walmart gas stations and the walmart gift card. Have you ever noticed the Walmart advertisements stating you can save 3 cents to 5 cents per gallon on gas if you purchase gas with the Walmart card? Well what if you don’t want another credit card or or can’t get approved for one? Do you have to miss out on these savings? NOPE. I’m sure many have ignored these advertisements in the past.
However if you pay close attention YOU CAN PURCHASE A REUSABLE WALMART GIFT CARD and get the same benefits allowing you to save money on gasoline. WOW… its funny what we notice when we actually pay attention huh?
Purchase Your Walmart Gift Card:
So to recap: Go to Super Walmart and do your normal shopping, at checkout get a $20or more gift card (along with your other purchases). On the way out, go to the Walmart Gas Station (A.K.A Murphy’s gas station) nearby… fill up…pay with your Walmart gift card and SAVE MONEY ON GASOLINE. Does it get much better?
Sams Club, BJs and Kroger have similar programs for up to 10 cents off. You will need their discount shopping cards though. I will probably cover this in another article.
